3 Ways To Add More Value To Your Products & Make More Money

money

When you sell products, you have to think of ways to make people come and spend money. Not only that, but you want to make as much money as possible from every single sale. If sales were all you cared about, you could list your products for the cheapest price and undercut everyone. But, this would obviously mean that you don’t make any money.

With that in mind, it’s all about adding value to your products to get people to spend more money. What can you do to achieve this? Here are three ideas:

Free delivery on orders over x amount

Offering free delivery on orders over a set amount will encourage more money to be spent. Consumers are far more likely to spend some extra money on another product or two than they are to spend it on delivery fees. Why? Because paying for delivery feels like a scam, while spending more money on products means they actually get something to show for it. Not only that, but when people are aware they can get free delivery, they’ll do everything to get it!

Personalization on products

Give customers a chance to personalize their products in unique ways. You can do this with so many different products, like jewelry. Selling some standard rings can be good, but what if you have access to industrial laser engraving machines that allow you to personalize them for customers? You add another level to your service, and your customers can choose to pay more money to get the personalization. Jewelry is a really good example because it’s something that tends to be personal. People buy it for themselves or as a present for others. So, giving the option of personalization works perfectly here, but it can work just as well for other products too.

Recommendations for other products

Another excellent way to make more money from every sale is by using recommendations. Every business can do this on their website, taking data from cookies to see customer browsing habits. From here, you can see what people tend to pair together when they make purchases. For example, imagine you sell computer equipment. Someone is buying a new keyboard, but before they checkout, you can show them some recommendations based on other customers that bought the same item. This might mean you show them a mousemat or a mouse – or possibly some keyboard cleaning products. The idea is that you encourage them to add other things to their basket that can make their initial purchase that little bit better. As such, instead of spending $15 on a new keyboard, they’ve spent $30 on a keyboard, mousemat, and keyboard cleaning spray!

See, there are plenty of ways you can make more money from selling your products. It’s all about adding value to every purchase a customer makes. Give them reasons to spend the extra cash, that’s pretty much what it boils down to. If they feel like they’re getting something more by spending a bit more, they’re going to do it every single time.
