3 Fun Ways to Make Extra Money

Fun Ways to make extra money

As much as you might enjoy your day job and the lifestyle it affords you, sometimes it can be nice to have a little extra income to spend guilt free. Here, we run through some ideas of fun ways to make a little extra on the side.

Gambling

Gambling has a bad reputation for being a vice, that can lead to dangerous addiction that causes you to lose huge amounts of money. However, if you approach it in the right way it can be a fun hobby that might help you to raise a little extra cash. There are lots of ways you can gamble, from using mobile apps and websites, to visiting premises dedicated to it. You can go to high street betting shops or even visit the biggest gambling districts in the world like Las Vegas with its 104 casinos. The key to gambling safely is to give yourself a maximum amount you’re willing to put down and to not exceed it. That way, even if you have some bad luck your losses are controlled. The chances of coming out with more that you went in with are high and you can even claim bonus offers with some companies.

Start A Blog

You may have seen plenty of celebrity endorsements on websites like Instagram, but did you know that this could be a source of income for you too? Product placements on sites with a lot of traffic can be worth a lot of money, and they can be used on just about anything. Why not start up a blog writing about what you love, and if it’s successful you could find companies approaching you to see if you’ll advertise their products. At the very least, you could be sent some free products so it’s worth giving it a go.

Make Homemade Products

Homemade products are becoming more and more popular so why not jump on the bandwagon and try your hand at creating some? Home-brewed beer is one option and one of the bestsellers, along with other homemade drinks like sloe gin. There is always a market for homemade beauty products too so you could try to create face masks, body scrubs and moisturisers. Depending on what your skill set consists of, you could even try to create larger items such as making your own furniture, or even simply upcycling second hand furniture with chalk paint. The possibilities are endless, and with the popularity of social media it’s easy to advertise your products too.

To make a little extra money on top of your normal income, you don’t have to stretch yourself to capacity by trying to hold down two jobs and losing all of your free time. There are plenty of ways to make money doing the things you love instead. You could have a taste of the opulent lifestyle of professional gamblers by placing a few sensible bets. You could share your expertise by writing a blog about what you love, in the hope that you’ll build enough of a following to be able to integrate product placements. Or, you could exercise your creativity by making homemade beauty or furniture products. For more ideas on how to make money, take a look at blog.themoneyshed.co.uk.
