The health treatment world is a billion-dollar industry. You see more spas than ever on the high street and male grooming is an ever-growing sector as more and more men look into taking their health seriously.
All this has meant though that the cost of going to your local spa has skyrocketed over the last few years so for a lot of people they are looking at ways they can have their favourite treatment at home and save themselves some money. So what are the best treatments out there to do in the sanctity of your own bathroom?
During the winter months, your skin can feel awfully dry and for a lot of women, they tend to turn on the blender in the kitchen and blending the likes of cream, yoghurt, honey, aloe vera gel and avocado to create their own face mask!
Heat up those creams
For a lot of women, the feeling they enjoy the most when they have their favourite beauty treatment is warm creams being put on their face. One clever trick you can do to recreate that feeling at home is before they jump in the shower they put their favourite lotion tube on the radiator and then when they come out they get to use the product warm.
Haircare is one of the easiest treatments to replicate at home due to how accessible a lot of the products that get used in spas are now. It doesn’t matter if you are after something like Nanogen hair thickening fibres or perhaps wanting to use Coconut oils to provide some shine to your hair there are some fantastic products you can use to get your hair looking like you’ve just walked out of a beauty salon for half the price!
Make your own exfoliating scrub
This one I see quite a lot from frugal/thrifty folk and tends to be passed down as a bit of an old wives tale but it’s a huge money saver. By just using 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 cup of raw oatmeal and finally 1 cup of olive oil all mixed together. Remember to stand over a towel to catch any bits that fall off your face and then wash away in the shower a litter while later.
Just by using the methods above you will be amazed how much money you can save each month. I know you may not get that ‘beauty’ experience you are used to at the salon or spa but you will still look just as amazing!
